A city worth to explore

Karlovy Vary belongs to the most attractive, most visited and world-known towns in the Czech Republic. The town, counting 50 000 inhabitants, is located in the west of the Czech Republic, close to the German border and 100 km away from the capital city Prague.

This largest spa city in the country was settled by the Czech king Charles IV. in the middle of the 14th century. Legend says that the king found the Carlsbad springs during the hunting. Spa treatment using healing hot springs are not the only speciality of this European city.

Karlovy Vary is also famous for its Moser Glass, herbal liquor Becherovka and Karlovy Vary International Film Festival with over the half century long history.
